When the Air Jordan 2 originally dropped in 1986, designer Peter Moore wanted to give the sneaker the premium treatment, as the price bumped up to $100. Made from premium Italian leather and assembled in Italy, the sneaker was limited to select cities upon launch.
Like the upcoming , the low cut features red and green accenting, giving off Italian and Gucci vibes. The AJ2 Low opts for black leather instead of white, with red piping seen on the upper and tongue. The external heel counter continues the Italian theme in red and green, with a black midsole and grey/red/green outsole finishing off the sneaker.
