Nike and Devin Booker haven’t been shy on the Book 1 colourways, with the performance basketball sneaker coming in a slew of iterations, including the debut bright orange, snakeskin ‘Hike’, a teased Hiroshi Fuijwara colab. Most recently, the signature pair has been revealed in a red and blue ‘Forrest Gump’ make-up that also pays homage to Nike’s OG runners, the Cortez, via a zig-zagged eyestay panel. Now, the same slightly altered design has been spotted on the court, this time in an appropriate Phoenix Suns palette.

Devin Booker debuted the pair in a winning game against the Charlotte Hornets over the weekend. Booker scored 30 points in the narrow win, with the Suns eventually cinching the win in the final minutes to finish on 120–113.

The ‘Phoenix Suns’ Book 1 takes on a crispy white base, with the main purple showing up prominently on the Swoosh, heel tab and tongue. It’s complemented with a strike of orange through the midsole, creating a clean yet effective design. Unfortunately, this pair is PE for Booker only and won’t be releasing, but the ‘Forrest Gump’ colourway is locked and loaded to land on January 24 via SNKRS!
