You could say that the ubiquity of adidas Adilette slides and Yeezy slides on the street right now are pretty toe to toe. The Adilette was conceived first, however Kanye West reimagined how a slide could look and feel with Yeezy: a chunky, futuristic joint perfect for streetstyling.

Long an advocate of both speaking his truth and speaking truth to power, at times it seems like West will spare no one. Case in point is his latest Instagram post, in which he shared an image of the recently surfaced Adilette 22. Calling out adidas CEO, Kasper Rørsted specifically, West said, 'I’m not standing for this blatant copying no more,' eventually going on to claim that the Adilette 22 is a ripoff of a Yeezy slide. 'This shoe is a fake Yeezy made by adidas themselves.'

West has long been team adi, even before his Yeezy partnership with the Three Stripes. At the time of writing, West's Instagram post has been live for four hours, and has since been followed up here. It remains to be seen if a statement will be issued in return, and if West will eventually take these posts down.
