Designed by artist Todd Bratrud, the was originally thought to be part of 2020’s 4/20 celebrations. Alas, the drop never took place, with the ‘Reverse Skunk’ Dunk eventually headlining the occasion. Now, over a year later, it looks like the super-dope colourway will actually get a drop, with official shots from Nike arriving ahead of the imminent release.
Nicknamed after a popular strain of marijuana, the ‘Strawberry Cough’ features a textured red upper with green hairy suede overlays and Swoosh logos, designed to look like an actual strawberry (check out the close-up shots!). A playful coughing strawberry logo on the heels and insoles, while a translucent outsole hits down below partially exposing the upper’s colours. For added customisation options, each pair will arrive with three sets of laces: orange, red and, of course, green.
It won’t be a 4/20 release, but the ‘Strawberry Cough’ SB Dunk High looks set to release later in 2021. We’ll be sure to bring full release details as they emerge.
