Gabe (he/him) is the Features Writer at Sneaker Freaker. He grew up on an ostrich farm, where he first became aware of the importance of speedy footwear. His first sneaker love was the adidas Crazy 8 – a model that still holds a special place in his heart. Gabe graduated with an honours degree in English and Theatre Studies from the University of Melbourne and shortly after completed a graduate diploma in Journalism. Before starting at Sneaker Freaker in 2018, Gabe worked as a production assistant/writer at VICE and has contributed to The Lifted Brow and Acclaim. Gabe’s other great loves include cream cheese, cats, Cormac McCarthy and Camembert – in that order. In future, he wants to own a pair of the Air Yeezy 2 ‘Red October’.
