Cooper Flagg Unveils His New Balance Signature Logo
Nineteen-year-old Cooper Flagg has executed a truly stunning rise to the NBA. After playing an epic 2024/25 season at Duke University and winning the 2025 National College Player of the Year award, he was then selected as number one in the 2025 NBA Draft, snagged by the Dallas Mavericks. Flagg’s debut 2025/26 NBA season was an extraordinary turn by anyone’s metrics – he played 70 games for the Mavs, and won the Rookie of the Year award to boot.
Flagg caught the eye of New Balance basketball back before the national-stage accolades, in 2024 – and he’s since flourished under the Boston brand’s wing, taking part in a handful of lifestyle and hoop releases. Of course, one thing has been missing – a signature shoe! – but we may not have to wait much longer, because Flagg and NB have just dropped the athlete’s logo.
‘I grew up wearing New Balance, and I appreciate their authentic connection to my community,’ Flagg said after he was signed by New Balance. ‘The focus and growth of the brand in basketball and our shared values and history drew me in. From day one, it was clear that this would be a family-like partnership. I’m so excited to join this family, and help them grow the category with young athletes.’

Flagg’s logo presents a simple but satisfying design of the athlete’s stylised initials, with the ‘C’ hosting pine tree-esque cutouts that represent the hooper’s home state of Maine.
The logo was unveiled in a video posted to New Balance socials, and is the next logical step the Flagg x NB partnership. And what will the signature sneaker look like? Clues might be tucked into the player’s on-foot showing so far, which has included the tried-and-true New Balance Hesi Low v2 – even in Flagg’s own colourway.
