Deadheads, Ducks, Diamonds: The Nike Sabrina 3 Baseball Cleat Is Wild

A Deadhead, a Duck and a four-time WNBA All-Star walk into a bar… and the tender serves up a PE cocktail that has the whole place screaming ‘Batter up!'. Nike have brought this seemingly disparate trio of themes to bear on a player-exclusive edition of the new Nike Diamond Sabrina 3 GD MTL – a totally unabashed mashup of muses.

First up – yes, we’re talking Oregon Ducks baseball (a fourth ingredient to the concoction, if you fancy) as opposed to the more frequently-treated NFL quackers. It’s those gridiron-based players who inspired the aesthetically matching Grateful Dead-styled Air Max 90 of late last year, which sported the same fuzzy, green, jagged-edged Swoosh and sauntering bears hang tag. The bears themselves throw back to 2020’s fabled Grateful Dead SB Dunk, still one of the millennium’s most coveted drops. And swinging on around to the present day, it all lands on the third signature shoe from New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu, one of the WNBA’s most decorated and revered players – though the original basketball silhouette has been transformed into a diamond-ready baseball cleat.
