Get Eyes On Steph Curry's First Sneaker With Li-Ning

The Chef’s maiden sneaker with Li-Ning is here, but there’s a third party to the linkup: Dwayne Wade. The unveiling of Steph Curry’s first-ever model with the Chinese sportswear juggernaut isn’t a signature as such, but a Way of Wade 12 PE, landing in a two-pack titled ‘Curry Moment’.

Here’s the history: Way of Wade is the elite performance signature basketball sneaker line of NBA legend Dwayne Wade and Li-Ning, launched in 2012 (the year Wade signed on). Way of Wade footwear is renowned for its lightweight and superlative cushioning, with later models featuring full-length SUPER BOOM foam alongside carbon fibre plates for excellent stability, energy return, and torsional support.

The Way of Wade 12 is the most recent in the series, arriving late last year. It packs a double layer of SUPER BOOM cushioning and a full-length carbon fibre plate with flexible TPU components at the heel. Curry’s edition carries the athlete’s logo over onto the tongue and heel – the core shape forms the letters ‘S’ and ‘C’, with a trio of lines referencing the athlete’s three-point shooting prowess. The ‘Obsidian’ colourway comes in moody black with mint-green hits to the logo and eyelets, while the ‘Liberty’ goes with the NYC statue’s teal, with black accents.

The Steph Curry x Li-Ning Way of Wade ‘Curry Moment’ pack released via WayOfWade.com on September 19, with only 200 pairs of each colourway available.
