March Madness is set to commence in just a few days, and the University of Oregon’s women’s basketball team has a chance to fly far in this year’s tournament. In order to channel the ‘Black Mamba’ energy for the stiff competition that lies ahead, Nike has laced up the Oregon Ducks with two versions of their own Kobe 3 Low Protro PE.

Both pairs make use of the university’s colours, landing in their signature green-and-yellow combination. One opts for a white upper and is accented with a green Swoosh and yellow mesh interior, while the other uses the same shade of green for the base of the upper, and features a yellow Swoosh to match the interior. Each colourway is completed with camo print-like outsoles in yellow and green – the perfect pairing for hunting down victories on the hardwood. These images don’t reveal any Ducks branding, but it’s safe to assume one of their logos appears on the tongues or insoles.

Nike is putting a lot of energy behind the Kobe 3 Low Protro at the moment, with Duke Women’s Basketball and New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson, both receiving exclusive versions. The silhouette was also one of many included in the Warning Label collection, and the ‘Mamba Magic’ colourway recently dropped as the first GR.

It’s unlikely that either of these pairs will have a public release, but if you enjoy seeing any and all Kobe heat, you can expect more schools to pop up with their own editions on-court.
