With over 50 records broken this season, there’s never been a better time to start following the WNBA. Within that incredible number of achievements, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese broke five of them. Now Reese is confirmed to be extending her existing contract with Reebok and there’s also a signature shoe on the way.

While the announcement happened last night, details are very scarce right now as the teaser post confirmed that Bayou Barbie’s shoe won’t land until 2026. However, Reese has confirmed that the design process has already started. In a press release, she said: ‘I’m extremely excited to let you guys know that we are officially coming out with a Reebok by Angel signature shoe! We’ve already kicked off the design process, and it means the world to me to have Reebok’s full support and confidence with this shoe and overall partnership.’

The news is another huge step forward for the WNBA, as Reese joins a small but growing handful of women with their own signature products. This looks set to change over the next few years, as stars like A’ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark are expected to drop their first pairs sometime in the future.
