Chevy and Devin Booker aren't taking their feet off the gas any time soon. As the Nike Book 2 'Pretty Penny' colourway preps to hit shelves in just over a week, we now have a first look at two other pairs from the Chevrolet collection. The 'Red Stardust' edition is modelled after Booker's pink 1958 Chevy Impala, with chrome hits on the Swoosh and star emblems at the heel, while the 'Sand Drift' version is inspired by the athlete’s silver 1962 make of the classic car, with what appears to be a black Swoosh and chrome leaping-antelope logo at the rear. Both builds sit atop white outsoles, calling back to the white wall tires on these old-school vehicles.

There's no confirmed release date for either of the two colourways, but both are expected to land some time in December. Check out the images below, and keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for all updates.

Whether he’s dizzying a defender on the hardwood or cruising in one of his American classic cars, Devin Booker is known to take things for a spin. Following his first Chevrolet collaboration last year, and a 1996 Impala-inspired PE edition of the Book 1, Chevy and Booker are hitting the open road once again on the Nike Book 2 ‘Pretty Penny’.

Having been born and raised in Michigan, Booker’s connection to the Detroit-based car company runs deep, and the crown jewel in his collection is his 1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible – which he nicknamed ‘Pretty Penny’. The title is fitting given his Impala’s metallic copper finish, and that same shade is used across the majority of the Book 2 silhouette for this latest Chevy colab. A black Swoosh breaks up the uniformity of the upper, while Chevrolet branding comes in the form of the brand’s crossed-flags logo stitched near the heel and stamped on the insole, along with a chrome emblem on the tongue serving as the sneaker’s hood ornament.

The same emblem is included as a metal hangtag, and the pair is housed in a multicoloured box with Chevy’s bowtie logo on the lid. This version is set to be the first colourway out of a Chevy x Book 2 four-pack, with the other shoes landing in pale pink, silver, and dark brown, as homages to the 1958, 1962, and 1963 Impalas respectively – all cars in Booker’s extensive automobile archive.

After an exclusive early release that went down on August 14 via SNKRS Pass in Detroit, the Chevy x Nike Book 2 ‘Pretty Penny’ is scheduled to launch globally on August 26 for a retail price of $155.
