There’s a Camouflage Converse SHAI 001 Coming

If five years ago you told us that one of the hottest modern basketball shoes of 2026 would be from Converse, we wouldn’t believe you. Nevertheless, here we are with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s SHAI 001, which dominates feeds every time it touches down. Already this year we’ve received a handful of colourways, including the luxurious ‘Truffle’ and ‘Ares Grey’ with a pink-toned pair on the horizon. Now, hot off the leak cycle is a ‘Camo’ iteration that marks the first time Shai and Converse have used more than two colours together on the one sneaker.

Starting with the construction, the ‘Camo’ is built with the standard synthetic leather and neoprene combo. Down below, you can expect a forefoot Zoom Air unit providing energy return and an over-lasted midsole prioritising stability. For the colourway, army green adorns the midsole and rear, with camouflage patterns dressing the rest of the upper and tongue.

Since the launch of the ‘Butter’ colourway, the SHAI 001 has been generating plenty of excitement, but one thing every drop had in common was the use of a singular tone. This one-hue theme continued with the ‘Family Pack’, but stopped with the two-tone gold-and-white PE and the ‘Winter Red’ Christmas edition. While this ‘Camo’ won’t be as hype as the ’Truffle’, we’re just happy that Converse and Shai are trying something different!

You can expect the Converse SHAI 001 ‘Camo’ to release on April 3. So far, Converse haven’t offered a date – but keep it locked to stay updated.
