The Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Fighter Jet’ Is Back on the Radar

Clear the runway! After more than a decade in the hangar, the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Fighter Jet’ is preparing for a comeback.

First released in February 2013, the military-inspired fan favourite offered a more earthbound counterpoint to the cosmic themes that had helped propel Eric Avar’s futuristic silhouette into wider cultural consciousness.

The original design combined a black, white and grey camouflage Foamposite shell with flashes of Hyper Red and a translucent outsole. They also came with special Penny Hardaway dog tags, although it remains to be seen whether Nike have any similar extras up their sleeve for the upcoming retro.

The Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Fighter Jet’ is expected to return in the second half of 2027. Stay tuned for further release details.
