Late Nite Stars Are Dropping a Mega ASICS Skateboarding Collection

ASICS’ skateboarding offshoot has been bubbling away in the background since their 2020 launch, and now they’re teaming up with influential New York skate crew Late Nite Stars! LNS began in 2019 in NYC, formed by a trio of skaters from Texas: Chase Walker, Trung Nguyen and Zak Anders. For their ASICS linkup, they’ve reworked three silhouettes: the Leggerezza FB, JAPAN PRO MT and GEL-FLEXKEE Pro 2.0. They’re also set to premiere an LNS x ASICS trip video shot across Korea and Japan (right up LNS’s alley, as they cut their teeth filming skate videos) and a special activation at the legendary Tompkins Square Park Skate Park.

Kicking things off is the Leggerezza FB, originally designed in collaboration with Gino Iannucci. LNS have opted for a crisp grey and black suede, bolstered with two-tone laces and metallic pops on the heel. The JAPAN PRO is next up and arrives in the mid-top version, with a newly streamlined tongue design and grey-purple mix dubbed ‘Gurple’. Completing the three-pack is the GEL-FLEXKEE PRO 2.0 – an OG ASICS Skateboarding shoe. Down below is a signature coloured midsole, alongside hints of grey and pops of purple.

You can expect the entire Late Nite Stars x ASICS collection to launch through the crew’s webstore and NYC’s Labor Skateshop on May 22. That same day will deliver the Korea and Japan trip video, with the session at Tompkins Square Park Skate Park kicking off on May 23. A global launch on through the ASICS webstore will go down on May 29.
