Melitta Baumeister Is Blazing Through Nike's Premium Running Line

After recently opening a sign-up page for her Vomero Premium colab, Melitta Baumeister has now revealed the next addition to her Nike collection. Considering the stack of records that Olympic gold medalist Sha’Carri Richardson has been torching, it’s no wonder the athlete was tapped by the avant-garde designer to share a first look at the Melitta Baumeister x Nike Pegasus Premium.

Following suit from the flaming orange colourway seen on its performance-driven relative, the Pegasus Premium is finished in an equally bright ‘Volt’ hue across the entire silhouette. Black distressing throughout gives the pair the appearance of having been wear-tested on a bed of hot coals. Black Ben-Day-style dots are used to create the Swoosh and eye imagery on the lateral and medial sides, respectively.

The ‘Run Like No One Is Watching’ ethos of this collection is captured with the same messaging featured on the laces and blacked-out Air Zoom unit. Depending on the speeds you’re hitting on your daily runs, these might be the only flash of colour that unsuspecting retinas catch as you whisk by. Completing the look is an assortment of Melitta Baumeister branding, with lettering cascading down the tongue and stamped onto the lateral side with additional ‘New York City’ text. The initials ‘MB’ atop a mini Swoosh land on the medial side near the collar, and on the Air unit.

No release details for the Melitta Baumeister x Nike Pegasus Premium have been confirmed as of yet, but a Q2 or Q3 drop seems likely. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for all updates.
