Head's up, runners! New Balance are dropping the Ellipse, the brand’s latest running shoe designed to help runners lose track of time – literally and figuratively. With a bouncy underfoot feel and a rockered profile, the runner is built to make every run feel effortless and enjoyable, whether it’s a first mile or a recovery jog.

The model is designed for athletes at all levels. Beginners can log their first miles with confidence, while veterans can take easy recovery runs without stress. At its core is the Fresh Foam X midsole, reimagined for a springy, responsive ride. A breathable engineered mesh upper, cushioned tongue and stretch laces add everyday comfort, making each stride light and effortless.

Speaking on the design philosophy, Kevin FitzPatrick, global vice president of running at NB, says: 'The Ellipse celebrates all who run by delivering an elevated cushioned experience and a rockered profile that keeps things easy on the body. It’s designed to help runners focus on the experience rather than obsess over metrics.'

According to the Boston brand, there's been been a whole host of stars across sport and culture that have already taken note. Gold Medalist sprinter Gabby Thomas, middle-distance runner Parker Valby, rapper and chef Action Bronson, MVP quarterback Josh Allen and five-time All-Star Francisco Lindor have all embraced the Ellipse as their new go-to running silhouette.
