You Can Actually Cop the Gold Nike CR7 Mercurial Superfly RGN
It doesn’t matter if you side with Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo in ‘the GOAT’ conversation – you can’t deny the cultural and on-pitch impact of both. While Messi has already made a splash this year, Ronaldo’s presence has been especially felt during the 2026 World Cup, primarily because he’s confirmed this’ll be his last. The Portuguese powerhouse is departing the global stage with a bang, setting the record as the first player to score in six consecutive tournaments. Of course, Nike are celebrating hard, and have honoured the legend with a golden Mercurial boot – that you can actually cop!
Ronaldo’s six global appearances have all boasted very special moments, but one thing has remained consistent: his dedication to the Mercurial. Ever since 2006 when he first stepped onto the pitch in Germany, Ronaldo has outshone opponents in Team Swoosh’s speediest boot. For this new celebratory project, the Beaverton design team chose the low-cut Superfly RGN design and completely adorned in glistening gold, with added white Swoosh and ‘CR7’ branding on the rear lateral.
The Nike CR7 Mercurial Superfly RGN ‘Gold’, celebrating the Portuguese legend, will release through Nike’s webstore and at select stockists on June 24.
