The Giannis Freak 7 'Live Wire' Flies the Flag in Four Licks of Pink

Turns out there's precisely four ways to skin a pink Freak. This retina-bursting revelation arrives thanks to Giannis Antetokounmpo's signature kick, the Giannis Freak 7, which will soon drop in the colourway 'Live Wire'. The lingering question mark over the Greek Freak's tenure with the Milwaukee Bucks is blown into the background via this fresh palette, which solidifies the power forward's vivid aesthetic (and on-court skill) in kick form.

The 'Live Wire' goes all-out with the pink kink, dousing the silhouette in four specific licks: 'Pink Foam', 'Hyper Pink', 'Fireberry', and – our favourite made-up hue – 'Pinksicle'. The tongue sports 'Volt' Giannis branding, while the Swoosh gets itself a 'Metallic Platinum' border.

Engineered to support Antetokounmpo's powerful and demanding style of play, the Giannis Freak 7 incorporates a full-length Cushlon 3.0 midsole, and the outsole features that natty 'ANTETOKOUNMPO'-text traction pattern. The model made its entrance in Nike's recent SNKRS product showcase, alongside a host of other heat we're amped to see drop in the coming months.

The launch date for the Nike Giannis Freak 7 'Live Wire' has just floated down from on high – it'll be August 22, with a RRP of $115.
