Ja Morant’s signature line has become one of Nike Basketball’s biggest franchises, with the Ja 3 building plenty of hype thanks to a budding catalogue of colourways. The Ja 4 has experienced just as much excitement as its predecessor, but is still in its infancy – only a handful of pairs have touched down so far. But there is one thing that Morant’s fourth signature has a leg-up on compared to the previous silhouette: The Ja 4 will arrive in a High version.
You may remember that when the Ja 4 originally leaked way back in March, the High variation was added to the convo as a rumour. Turns out it was dead-on, because last week Morant shared the iteration via his Instagram. While we don’t have any official build details about the Ja 4 High, we can clearly see it features a large shroud wrapping the entire foot – similar to ‘The Glove’. The debut colourway seems to be this neck-cranking full-red, and spikes adorning the outside which remind us of ostrich leather – hope they won’t poke Ja’s fellow players!
‘Colourways have always been big for me,’ Ja said after he debuted his latest signature. ‘I don’t like playing it safe – I want my shoes to stand out, just like my game. Every pair gotta have some energy to it, something that makes you feel different when you put it on. I pull inspiration from everything: my life, my mood, my family. And yeah, I’ve been hearing people call me the “Colourway King,” so I take that serious. I’m gonna keep making sure every drop hits like that.’
There’s no exact date for the Nike Ja 4 High yet, but a release window is alleged for the 2026 Holiday season.
