The Nike Kobe 8 ‘Easter’ Is Back in 2027
Nike have clearly hatched a plan to continue revitalising classic Kobe colourways with Protro updates. News of the Kobe 8 ‘Easter’ returning in 2027 broke earlier this year, and now a first look at the retro has arrived. From what can be seen in this image, it appears that this pair will be coming back true-to-form, bearing the same colour-blocking and details as the original 2013 release.
No launch date has been confirmed as of yet, but it’s expected that these’ll bunny-hop onto shelves some time between January and March. Be sure to stay tapped in with Sneaker Freaker for all updates.
It’s still wild to us that 2027 releases have started leaking and we aren’t even halfway through 2026 – and the latest in that lineup is the Nike Kobe 8 ‘Easter’, originally from way back in 2013.
Nike have really been pushing Kobe Bryant’s signature line over the past few years, capitalising on retros of grail-worthy colourways while also creating new iterations that honour the historic career of the Black Mamba. They’re definitely following the Jordan Brand playbook, and with more retros on the cards we suspect Kobes will continue to be a regular fixture on release calendars.
Following the news of the ‘Shanghai Fireworks’, the next Kobe 8 bringback will be the ‘Easter’. Originally launching 13 years ago, the ‘Easter’ came as part of the Nike basketball pack that celebrated the holiday, landing alongside the LeBron 10 Low and KD 5. Team Swoosh added a contrasting three-colour gradient to the 8’s upper, with of-the-time speckled midsole and classic Kobe branding.
