The Nike LeBron 24 Debuts New Material Called Kingknit

LeBron James has been making headlines as he gears up for his record 24th NBA season, now with the Philadelphia 76ers. That’s not all that King James has planned on his 2026 calendar – it looks like his latest signature Nike sneaker, the LeBron 24, is poised to release in the coming months.

There are some big changes apparent between the new LeBron 24 and 2025's LeBron 23 , the most salient being the build. The 24's general shape remains in a similar vein to its predecessor, but the large crown-shaped panels are removed – probably the reason this is the lightest LeBron of all time, according to the man himself! Nike haven't ditched the crown motif completely, with a carbon fibre midfoot shank that replicates the design, albeit more subtly. A new material is also used for the upper, called Kingknit. There’s no detailed explanation available of exactly what Kingknit is, but from afar the material looks to replicate reptilian scales.

James has cheekily teased six upcoming colourways set to launch, but the first will be the ‘Shooting Star’, dressed in a full-blue makeup with black and gold touches.

You can expect the Nike LeBron 24 ‘Shooting Star’ to launch at select stockists and SNKRS on November 17, at a cost of $200.
