Sabrina Ionescu’s signature footwear line with Nike has shot up the ranks as a favourite for hardwood hoopers across the globe. And today, the New York Liberty guard and four-time WNBA All-Star has just announced the highly anticipated Sabrina 4. Delivering an upgraded build and modernised silhouette, Team Swoosh have set Ionescu’s latest up for domination.
‘Seeing my shoe worn across all levels of the game tells me that we are creating shoes that basketball players really love. It takes a lot of work with my team at Nike to deliver footwear that can perform at this level and get better with each model,’ Sabrina says. ‘Every year, I work on my game, finding any area of opportunity to add or improve. And that is exactly what we are doing with my shoe and my entire line — innovating in the right places while still keeping that Sabrina-feel that players everywhere know and love.’
For the Sabrina 4, Nike have introduced a brand new TPU FlyPlate that’s inspired by sprinters taking off from their starting block. This new plate is set to work in tandem with the forefoot Air Zoom unit and Cushion 2.0 midsole to supply pristine support, stability and elite reaction times. Elsewhere, Nike have decked out the lightweight upper in a haptic print that pays homage to Sabrina’s Romanian roots.
