No More Mr Nice Ja: The Nike Ja 3 'Instinct' Bares Its Teeth

Ja Morant detests sneaker leaks – we know that much for sure. But perhaps even he wouldn't mind the 'sphere getting a heads up on this scorching new colourway of his signature Ja 3 – christened 'Instinct' – because it's an absolute belter. Arriving via @prm.cotd, images of the red-and-black monster show its full-fisted use of the model's design, offering the most aggressive colourway we've seen since the sneaker debuted in August last year.

Despite its busy triangle-mosaic motif and claw-slashed midsole, the Ja 3 has mostly landed in colourways that burst with vivid and playful energy – get an eyeful of the 'Kool-Aid', 'Mardi Gras', 'Jelly Bean' and 'Hustle and Flow' for examples. The model's recent Jurassic Park linkup is full of colourful palettes, and even last year's spooky Halloween edition was more Mike Wazowski than Michael Myers. However, the upcoming 'Instinct' goes HAM on the hostility, with a blood-red base and black striping.

Other fresh details include the shoe's title embroidered on the heel (replacing the 'Twelve' of previous models), glinting Swooshes of metallic red, and 'NIKE' printed onto the midsole's ZoomX cushioning in horror-movie font.

The Nike Ja 3 'Instinct' isn't expected to come roaring 'round the corner until mid-year, but keep it locked right here for release details as they trickle in.
