It’s been just over a year since Canadian trail innovators norda introduced the 005 sneaker – and now the silhouette is entering its next stage evolution in two new colourways: 'Laser' and 'Comet'. Debuting as part of the brand's 'KALEDISCOPIC' collection, both iterations draw inspo from the high-octane precision and risk of 1980s Group B rally racing.
Described as both 'dynamic' and 'responsive', the 'Laser' iteration embodies off-road speed with a white base punctuated by red accents, black piping and gold deets. Meanwhile, the 'Comet' version takes a more conceptual approach, layering the debut’s light grey 'Neve' foundation with a dark midfoot lace loop and a striking neon pink streak cutting across the upper.
Both variants stick to the model’s ultralight, plateless DNA, designed for a 'close-to-the-earth' trail feel. The upper combines bio-circular Dyneema – a fibre that boasts a strength 15 times stronger than steel – with engineered breathability, while the new livery-style branding highlights key tech, including Arnitel TPEE midsole foam. The norda Fit Lock System keeps the foot in place, complemented by a perforated micro-suede tongue and Dyneema laces, offering four times the robustness of standard laces.
Down below, a Vibram Megagrip Elite and Litebase soleplate balances traction, adaptive lug profiles and a 30% reduction in weight, optimising responsiveness on technical terrain.
Both the norda 005 'Laser' and 'Comet' are available now with a retail price of $325 – hit the link below to cop!
