The Pas Normal Studios x Salomon GRVL CONCEPT is Not Just Sticking to Roads
Founded in 2014, certainly know a thing or two about mixing pro-level performance with Scandi design. Based out in Copenhagen and launched by Karl-Oskar Olsen and Peter Lange, the brand have carved out a lane of their own by pushing cycling apparel beyond traditional racewear – all while refusing to work within the limits of normality.
For their latest colab effort, Pas Normal Studios are reuniting with Salomon – this time putting a fresh spin on the GRVL CONCEPT. Launched as a hybrid, mixed-terrain ‘super shoe’, the model is made to work on both road and light trails, mixing road-racing speed with off-road grip and support.
True to GORPEcore form, the GRVL CONCEPT doesn’t skip on the details. The release uses an adaptive foam midsole with carbon support plates that help to push each step forward, while the outsole uses a shallow tread pattern to stay smooth on road but still grip on loose ground. In addition, the upper also comes with a fitted knit collar to help keep out dirt, along with a quick lacing system for a secure and easy fit.
To round things off, the colourway brings a natural feel to the launch. The ‘Dark Earth/Nine Iron/Sweet Pea’ palette combines earthy green tones with soft purple hues – making for a trail shoe that’s just as easy on the eyes as it is on the terrain.
The Pas Normal Studios x Salomon GRVL CONCEPT is set to hit shelves on May 27 – hit the link below to cop.
