Get Glimmer in Your Gait With Reflective Adizero Evo SL Colourways
'Pharrell' might be a near-rhyme for 'laurel', but it's clear the multi-hyphenate designer is not resting on anything of the kind. His partnership with adidas continues to move at a rate far beyond your garden-variety colab, with new colourways of the Jellyfish dropping like sneaker manna into the hands of eager 'heads. Now comes two new palettes of the adidas Adizero Evo SL, and the campaign concept and imagery arrive courtesy of Skateboard P.
The Adizero Evo SL first dropped a little over a year ago as the everyperson's supershoe, bringing the design DNA of adi's Pro Evo 1 to non-competitive moments. Priced at just $150 (a whole $350 cheaper than its top-shelf forebear), the Evo SL is still stuffed with impressive Three Stripes' tech, including a full-length, high-stack Lightstrike Pro midsole and engineered mesh upper for enhanced breathability.
The shoe's first palette was a classic ‘Cloud White/Core Black’, but Pharrell soon set to work at the colourway cauldron. He added a full-black and full-white build (each with their Three Stripes daubed in green, blue and brown) as well as a unique 'Preloved Brown'.
The two fresh colourways of the Adizero Evo SL feature stealthy, grey-and-black bases – the perfect canvas for reflective Three Stripes streaking across the uppers and midsoles. On one pair, the bands hit in metallic black and grey, while on the other they gleam in metallic silver, black and grey. As the wearer gains momentum and increases speed, the stripes blur into a radiant belt which enhances visibility and safety during late-night jaunts.
Pharrell's campaign spotlights communities of young women in the Dominion Republic who come together to run. 'Running is more than an individual pursuit – it’s about community, rhythm, and finding light together,' he said. 'That’s the energy we wanted to capture with... this powerful community of women runners in the Dominican Republic. This campaign is designed to inspire motion and fuel passion through community.'
The new colourways of the Adizero Evo SL are priced at $150 and are widely available now.
