Cold Comfort: The North Face Step into Winter Mode
Every winter has its main character – and it’s usually The North Face. Back once again to claim the spotlight, the masters of mountain-grade outerwear have launched their latest cold-front takeover with the 'Basecamp Footwear' collection – a storm of puff, polish and performance designed to turn winter blues into winter hues.
Inspired by two icons in TNF’s archive – the Basecamp Duffel and the Nuptse Jacket – the collection brings together expedition-tier durability with après-ready comfort. Each model balances form and function, featuring quilted uppers for insulation, Vibram outsoles for steady footing on icy ground, and weatherproof builds that easily tough-out cold temperatures.
Leading the line up is the Basecamp WP 200, a snow-ready boot insulated with engineered 50/50 insulation for breathability and warmth, plus fully waterproofed construction. For lighter wear, the Basecamp WP Mule brings the same rugged comfort with THERMOBALL warmth and versatility.
Next, the Basecamp THERMOBALL Mule stays classic with a 100% recycled upper and après-approved style, while the Nuptse Traction Chukka and Nuptse Traction Bootie nod to the brand's exploratory heritage with 700-fill down and laid back function. Finally, the collection comes alive in a campaign shot by Jamie Shipton Mourn on Norway’s Brosmetinden, showcasing footwear built to handle every chill and terrain.
You can cop the 'Basecamp Footwear' collection now via The North Face webstore and select retailers.
In other news, James Harden's adidas Vol. 10 is set to hit the court this December.
