It’s also where New Balance are choosing to serve up a different side of the sport, linking up with for a release that mixes performance with something a bit more personal.
The pair have been shaped by Tommy Paul’s life off the court, reflecting his connection to nature and the outdoors. Named the CT-Rally v2 'Outdoor Court', the design features Realtree’s EDGE camo print across the upper, pulling from landscapes tied to his upbringing – from South Jersey farmland to the wetlands of South Florida. Browns, greys and neutral tones form the base.
'Some of my favourite hours are spent outside before sunrise,' said Paul. 'I grew up working around the farm, tending to animals, and fishing. Those simple moments inspire and ground me, and creating a shoe that allows me to share my connection to nature on the court is truly special.'
A blazing orange 'N' logo cuts right through the otherwise subdued palette, delivering contrast while maintaining visibility during play.
Performance-wise, the CT-Rally v2 continues to link with other styles from NB's tennis offering, such as the CG2, focusing on stability, durability and responsiveness across hard court surfaces. The model is made for lateral movement and long-match wear, with Fresh Foam X cushioning offering extra comfort underfoot.
Additional deets include a custom footbed stamped with the words 'The best players in the world wear New Balance', tying the launch back to the brand’s wider athlete lineup.
