The Three Stripes are commemorating 75 years of business in 2024, with their German heritage and craftsmanship paying a large role in the celebrations. Front and centre of this is the new ‘Made in Germany’ series, which puts adidas’ quality in the limelight via various limited-edition releases. A Predator Mania ‘Japan Blue’ debuted the series, and now a ‘Pearl’ colourway of the same model is set to drop, boasting a sleek, creamy look that’s (almost) too good to wear on the pitch.

The Predator series started in 1994 when former Liverpool and Middlesbrough player Craig Johnson pitched it to adidas. It has since gone on to become one of the most revered boots of all time, with many variations hitting the market since, and one of those is the Predator Mania. The Mania dominated the 2000s techy scene, and the aggressive-looking style was even favoured by David Beckham. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that this heritage model would be heroed for adi’s series, as it represents the Three Stripes’ continual innovation in the scene.

The ‘Pearl’ iteration takes on an ‘Off White’ and ‘Cloud White’ palette that allows the expert craftsmanship to really shine through. Made by the production team at Scheinfeld, which has been the centre of adi’s operation the whole time they’ve been operating, the iteration features ‘Made in Germany’ branding on the iconic foldover tongue and premium materials.

The Predator Mania ‘Pearl’ is the second release of the adidas ‘Made in Germany’ series and dropped on July 23 via adidas. Stay locked for more drops from the series.
