HOKA has been the silent assassin in the modern day performance shoe market, dominating shelves with their bulbous cushy creations. One of the fan-favourite franchises in their ever-growing arsenal is the Bondi, which has just been debuted in their ninth variation.
The fresh-faced Bondi 9 was launched this weekend at the ‘Run Stop Corner Shop’ in London. Billed as a ‘consumer-first immersive space’, guests are treated to a Bodega-esque hidden shop that provides everything a runner needs. Of course the Bondi 9 was on display, which dropped in two colourways at the activation. This road-running model is known for its peak comfort, further accentuated by the new premium EVA foam midsole that hosts an Active Foot Frame and an extra 2mm stack height.
‘We are so excited to invite customers into the world of HOKA through the immersive experience of Run Stop, connecting with consumers and bring[ing] together the ever growing running communities in London’, said Cynthia van der Moolen, HOKA's EMEA marketing director in a press release. ‘Although Run Stop celebrates HOKA’s product innovation, the space is not just about performance footwear, it’s about the connections made between runners, the stories shared and the experiences that shape the way we move’.
The ‘Run Stop Corner Shop’ kicks off between January 15 and 19, while the HOKA Bondi 9 is through the brand’s usual channels.
