Up-Close With Serena Williams' Off-White Nike Collection

Since Virgil Abloh dropped the news last week, the sentiment towards Serena Williams’ ‘Queen’ Off-White Nike collection has it poised to be a smash hit. Nike followed up Abloh’s nebulous Instagram leak with some on-foot shots, but these new pics provide the best look yet. Images come courtesy of Hypebeast, who managed to get their mitts on the drop ahead of time and share the goods.

When the Air Max 97, Blazer and NikeCourt Flare 2 are cosied up to the lens, not a single exposed stitch is out of place. Purples and pinks suffuse over the Blazer’s and AM97’s midsoles like they stepped in a bucket of dissolving M&Ms, while yellow zip-ties are printed with ‘Queen of Queens’.

While the NikeCourt Flare 2 PEs are expected to stay with Serena, the Air Max 97s were available through SNKRS PASS on August 21, and a larger drop of the rest of the collection is rumoured to occur sometime during the US Open, between August 27 and September 9.
