Air Jordan 7

The Air Jordan 7 was heavily influenced by Tinker’s other big project in 1991, the Air Huarache. Light, fast and dramatic, the AJ7 tucked Nike’s Air units inside the sole for a sleeker surface. The jagged sole design raced across the upper, with West African-inspired patterns on the neoprene tongue adding cultural depth. Grainy YouTube footage of Michael Jordan with Michael Jackson (the other iconic MJ!) wearing the Air Jordan 7 can be seen in the ‘Jam’ music video. One more thing. Jordan also led the Dream Team to gold at Barcelona’s 1992 Olympics wearing ‘Team USA’ Air Jordan 7s.
