Update22 Apr 2024

One of the most intergalactic sneakers of all time is expected to return next year according to Sole Retriever, with the Nike Air Foamposite ‘Galaxy’ reportedly set for Q2. This would make sense given the All-Star Game will be hosted in this slot (in San Francisco), and the OG ‘Galaxy’ famously debuted at the All-Star game in Orlando way back in 2012.

You don’t have to be into sneakers to know about the infamous Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Galaxy’, which caused gargantuan riots in 2012 at the Florida Mall when it dropped for All-Star Weekend in Orlando. The star-adorned Foam has also been credited as kicking off the major Foamposite hype wave that oozed into the following years. Highly sought after and incredibly valuable, the ‘Galaxy’ has been said to have only been released in limited quantities, picking up insane bids of up to $70,000 straight after. Even in today’s market, you aren’t paying below the upper four figures for a deadstock pair.

It’s been over a decade since the sneakersphere was blessed with the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Galaxy’, and now it seems Team Swoosh are secretly planning on resurrecting the ultra-hype colourway. The rumour has begun with Sneakerfiles and @zsneakerheadz, who’ve said that their sources have mentioned a 2024 release. It’s alleged that the upcoming drop could include some additional material changes and ‘resemble’ the pair released in 2012.

So far, no concrete info or leaked imagery has been released, but stay locked for more information on the 2024 Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Galaxy’.
