Back in Quack: Two Nike Legends Grace the Air Jordan 10 Oregon PE
University of Oregon’s football team is no stranger to gaining access to the most exclusive PEs being cooked up in Beaverton. The pigskin-tossing Ducks just revealed their latest pair, an Air Jordan 10 signed by Phil Knight and Tinker Hatfield.
Nike’s co-founder and the GOAT designer are both proud Oregon alumni, which makes these the ultimate trifecta for the webbed-feet fanbase. The upper is built in a combination of grey and black leathers with additional panels of grey nubuck. Hits of neon green appear on the lining and portions of the outsole, and a greyscale version of the beanie-wearing mascot is embroidered onto the lateral side of the collar. Underneath it sits Knight’s signature.
Hatfield’s signature pops up next to an oversized, stitched Jumpman logo on the medial side, and seeing both of these autographs on the same sneaker is a ‘pinch me’ moment for Jordan and Oregon fans alike. The closest the general public has ever been to owning a personally inscribed pair was the Air Jordan 1 ‘Reimagined Black Toe’, which dropped in February of this year.
These will likely remain a treat solely for the team’s athletes and coaching staff, which is par for the course when it comes to these player exclusives. Regardless, 'heads will still be tuned in to see which numbered MJ silhouette is the next to grow its feathers.
