Baseball’s global stage is bringing the heat – and Team Puerto Rico just stepped onto the diamond with a player-exclusive flex that merges music superstardom with elite performance gear. Enter the adidas BadBo 1.0 ‘Puerto Rico’ World Baseball Classic cleat.
Designed as a special-edition take on Bad Bunny’s debut adidas signature silhouette, the PE cleat celebrates the island’s deep baseball heritage while doubling down on Benito’s unmistakable cultural footprint. Puerto Rican MLB standouts including Kiké Hernández, José De León and Edwin Díaz recently showcased the pair on social media, giving fans a first glimpse at the patriotic diamond-ready design.

The execution is a love letter to Puerto Rico. The upper arrives in a layered two-tone blue palette, nodding to the colours of the Puerto Rican flag, while subtle branding details connect the dots between the artist and the nation. Initials referencing both Bad Bunny and Puerto Rico appear on the ankle area, reinforcing the personal nature of the project.
Underfoot, the silhouette adapts the BadBo’s bold lifestyle DNA for the field with a fully spiked outsole engineered for traction on the dirt and grass of international competition.
For now, the Puerto Rico colourway remains strictly Player Exclusive, reserved for athletes representing the island during the World Baseball Classic. But there’s good news for fans: adidas is reportedly planning a wider release of the BadBo 1.0 cleat later this year.
Whether it hits retail or not, one thing is clear – Bad Bunny’s influence is officially stepping further afield than just the gridiron.
