LeBron James is back in the time machine – and this time he’s dialled the coordinates straight to 2012. Over the weekend, The King laced up a fiery Nike LeBron 23 ‘Big Bang’ PE, reviving one of the most iconic All-Star colourways in his signature archive.

Long-time LeBron watchers will immediately recognise the DNA. The pair pulls heavy inspiration from the legendary LeBron 9 ‘Big Bang’ from the Galaxy-era All-Star Weekend, translating that unforgettable cosmic energy onto the modern LeBron 23 platform.

Visually, the model doesn’t hold back. A blazing two-tone orange upper dominates the build, split between a structured lower section and a lighter mesh-based top half. The tongue pops even brighter, while carbon-fibre black Swoosh hits and LeBron’s original LBJ23 logo add layers of throwback storytelling. Most importantly, the tongue revives that unmistakable Galaxy-style branding – a detail that will have LeBron lifers doing triple takes.

Underfoot, the tooling swaps the neon outsole of the 2012 classic for a cleaner, translucent-white finish, keeping things contemporary while honouring the source material.

As it stands, this pair sits firmly in PE territory, with no confirmed retail release on the horizon. But given Nike’s current retrospective victory lap around LeBron’s career, don’t rule out a wider launch down the line.
