Nike are continuing their celebration of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with the unveiling of the player exclusive edition of the LeBron TR1 for Florida A&M University (FAMU). This PE features an all-white upper complemented by accents in pine green and orange – the university's signature colours – and marks the first special make-up on the new model.

Engineered as a versatile off-court trainer for athletes across various disciplines, the LeBron TR1 was originally teased by LeBron James during Team USA’s gold medal run at the Paris Olympic Games this year. Released in September 2024, the ergonomic design places emphasis on forefoot flexibility to enhance movement during workouts. The model is equipped with an inverted waffle outsole and glove-like fit intended to reduce foot swelling during intense workouts. The LeBron TR1 debuted in the ‘Dunk Man’ colourway, followed by unique designs such as the ‘Zero Dark 30', inspired by LeBron’s tradition of going dark on social media during the playoffs, and ‘Purple Rain’, a tribute to LeBron’s admiration for Prince.

Unfortunately, this white and green iteration of the LeBron TR1 is not expected to be released to the public, as the model is reportedly a PE for Florida A&M University Rattler athletes.
