Nike continue to blast the boundaries of modern hoops design with the latest reveal of the GT Future in a bold ‘Hyper Pink’ colourway. The futuristic silhouette – which first surfaced during NBA All-Star Weekend previews – has quickly become one of the most intriguing additions to Nike’s Greater Than (GT) performance line.

The GT Future leans heavily into a sculptural aesthetic that feels closer to a concept car than a traditional basketball shoe. Its defining feature is a sleek, moulded upper that flows almost seamlessly into the midsole, creating a single-piece look reminiscent of classic Foamposite-era innovation. In the ‘Hyper Pink’ execution, that futuristic shell arrives drenched in vibrant neon pink, while black accents on the laces, Swoosh branding and outsole add sharp contrast.

The colourway recently appeared in promotional material from DMV rapper and longtime sneaker tastemaker Wale, who has been closely associated with the model since early previews began circulating online. While the musician has historically been one of Nike Basketball’s most passionate supporters, his repeated appearances in the GT Future have effectively positioned him as an unofficial ambassador for the silhouette.

Under the hood, the GT Future is built to match its radical appearance. The shoe combines a full-length Zoom Strobel unit with a forefoot Air Zoom unit and Cushlon 3.0 foam cushioning, creating a setup designed to deliver responsive energy return and impact protection on the court.

While Nike have yet to confirm an official launch date, early reports suggest the GT Future ‘Hyper Pink’ will release later in 2026 for around $200.
