Nike are back in Santa’s lab, and this year they’ve wrapped the Zoom GT Cut 3 in something a little more jump-shot jolly. The festive brief is there – reds, greens, winter sparkle – but instead of Santa cosplay, this pair feels like it’s here to ruin your Boxing Day box score.

The upper sticks to engineered mesh – stealthy at first glance, before the gradient heel kicks into full holiday hysteria. But the real stocking stuffer sits on the tongue: a floating glitter badge that looks like Nike shook up a snow globe and sealed it in plastic. It’s loud, it’s gaudy, it’s Christmas done right – unapologetically over-the-top with performance still in play.

The GT Cut line’s all about first steps and fast breaks, and this edition arrives with serious lineage. Nike’s Christmas catalogue is legendary – Kobe’s radioactive ‘Grinch’, Kevin Durant's metallic mayhem – and the Cut 3 clearly wants in on the highlight reel.

Haven’t yet had your chance to sleigh in the GT line? Warm up a cup of cocoa and take a seat by the fireplace – here’s a quick recap. Launched as part of Nike’s Greater Than series, the GT Cut 3 was built for guards who live on angles and instant acceleration. It’s the most refined chapter yet, evolving from the original GT Cut’s low-to-the-ground feel and the GT Cut 2’s focus on agility. This third iteration introduces ZoomX foam – a first in the GT line – making it lighter, springier and far more responsive off the bounce. With its emphasis on stop-start control, it’s become a favourite for shifty ball-handlers and ISO merchants.

Dropping December 2025 for $200, it’s primed for two types of hoop heads: the ones hunting ankle insurance, and the ones who collect Christmas colourways like ornaments.
