Willy Chavarria Pushes the adidas Harden Vol. 10 Beyond Performance

James Harden’s signature line continues to evolve in surprising ways. While the adidas Harden Vol. 10 has been shaping up as one of the most talked-about hoops shoes of the 2025-26 cycle, the latest twist comes in the form of a collaboration with trailblazing designer Willy Chavarria – and Harden wasted no time premiering them on court in his first game with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This isn’t your typical colourway. Chavarria’s aesthetic – deeply rooted in storytelling and cultural symbolism – reframes the Vol. 10’s technical foundation into something that feels almost sculptural. At a glance, the moulded foam upper moves away from the silhouette’s familiar concentric patterns and instead blooms into a ‘bed of roses’ motif, rendered in 'Metallic Silver' and offset by rich black overlays. Shadowed black accents add depth, while bright crimson hits on the rear stripes and outsole inject a shock of contrast that feels deliberate rather than decorative.

At its core, the Harden Vol. 10 is built around performance tech tailored to elite basketball. A full-length BOOST midsole delivers springy, high-rebound cushioning that keeps players explosive through first steps and hard landings. Above that, adidas’ moulded chassis integrates layered foam and engineered textile to drive lateral stability without locking down flex, while a supportive mid-cut collar hugs the ankle for secure court control.

This collaboration also lands as part of Chavarria’s wider creative momentum. The Mexican-American designer’s work – long celebrated for weaving cultural identity into fashion – now makes a confident leap into basketball performance, using the Harden Vol. 10 as a canvas that bridges sport, symbolism and style.
