LA Clippers star James Harden has been turning back the clock with some vintage performances. Ahead of Monday night’s matchup against the Utah Jazz, Harden debuted his ninth signature shoe with Team Trefoil – the adidas Harden Vol. 9. Sporting the futuristic ‘Cyber Metallic’ colourway, Harden put on a show, dropping 41 points in just 31 minutes. It’s safe to say it passed the wear-test! The Harden Vol. 9 is scheduled to arrive sometime in January. As always, keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.

The adidas hoops team have assembled a strong sneaker line-up for the new season, with Anthony 'Ant Man' Edwards generating major buzz for the brand. Fresh off his gold medal-clinching performance with Team USA and a deep playoff run with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Edwards is leading the charge for Team Trefoil. Alongside him are signature athletes like Damian Lillard and James Harden, who are adding even more scoring power to the roster, and Harden's signature line, which began in 2016, has now reached its ninth iteration.

The Harden Vol. 9 continues adidas' trend of futuristic designs in their basketball sneakers, featuring a sleek knit sock bootie along with LIGHTBOOST and LIGHTSTRIKE technology – both carried over from the previous model. LIGHTSTRIKE, known for being lighter than traditional EVA foams, has also been widely used in adidas’ performance running sector, appearing in popular models like the adiZero. The adidas branding on the Vol. 9 takes on an abstract, impressionistic form, with patterns resembling butterfly wings, water droplets, or floral elements.

At this time, specific release details haven't been announced, but stay tuned to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
