Nike Air Max Plus ‘Sunset’ Gets Tuned for Golf
As golf and sneaker culture continue to converge, Nike's most iconic designs are making their way to the fairway. The latest entrant? The cult-classic Nike Air Max Plus ‘Sunset’, reimagined for the greens. Originally designed by rookie sensation Sean McDowell, the ‘Sunset’ colourway perfectly encapsulates McDowell’s inspiration: a stunning Florida beach sunset, complete with silhouetted palm trees represented by the TPU cage. (For more on the original design blueprints, make sure to track down our book STAY TUNED, a 300-plus page tome devoted to the Air Max Plus, and its many subcultures across the globe!).
This striking orange-to-yellow gradient makes a triumphant return on the Nike Air Max Plus Golf, now enhanced with golf-specific functionality. The model features waterproof uppers and a retooled sole designed for traction on the course, while still incorporating the signature seven Air Max cushioning bubbles for unrivaled comfort. Other updates include premium leather replacing the traditional mesh on the base, adding durability and a refined aesthetic.
