The Nike Zoom Fly series continues to build on its legacy of performance-driven running shoes, designed to help athletes achieve personal bests. Today, Nike unveiled the latest edition in the franchise, the Zoom Fly 6, dubbed ‘the ultimate super trainer’. Engineered to bridge the gap between training and race day, this model features full-length carbon fibre FlyPlates and more ZoomX foam for enhanced energy return. Notably, it weighs 10 per cent less than its predecessors.

To showcase its potential, Nike enlisted one of the greatest marathon runners ever, Eliud Kipchoge, for its development and testing. Kipchoge shared, ‘This is the shoe runners should choose for their workouts all week long, instead of the "super shoes" some are using. The redesigned Zoom Fly performs at a high level, offering excellent responsiveness, cushioning from impact, and smooth transitions from heel to forefoot.’

Collaborating with Kipchoge, Nike incorporated his feedback after rigorous testing on dirt roads and asphalt in Kenya. His insights were crucial in enhancing the shoe's energy return, comfort, and protection.

The Zoom Fly 6 boasts the highest stack height in Nike’s racing lineup, thanks to its full-length carbon fibre FlyPlate embedded between layers of Nike’s ZoomX and SR-02 foams. The upper, redesigned for race-day simulations, features a dual-layer woven mesh that offers a sock-like fit without compromising durability or breathability. A new lightweight outsole with a thin rubber web ensures grip and traction during training and races.

Launching in multiple colourways, the Zoom Fly 6 will include a special edition inspired by the red clay roads where Kipchoge has trained for decades. It will be available globally on November 1 at nike.com and select retailers, with Kipchoge’s colourway debuting in early December.
