When a model is built for speed, it makes sense that it needs to be primed for one of the most revered athletic events in the world. And while the  Nike  Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% has been around for just over a year now, it’s still expected to be on the feet of plenty of runners in this year’s Tokyo Olympics. After all, this is a shoe that boasts a proven winning formula. Dressed in a lively combo of white, ‘Pink Blast’, ‘Total Orange’, and ‘Bright Crimson’, this so-called ‘Rawdacious’ colourway will turn heads as quickly as it slashes PBs.

The Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% offers all the latest from Nike’s ongoing search for technological advancements in performance running. Notably, it was on Eliud Kipchoge’s feet when he broke the previously insurmountable  two-hour marathon barrier back in 2019. Kipchoge worked closely with Nike’s design team over a number of years to refine the finished product, with his input so important that he has said, ‘I think this shoe will be part of my legacy’. Featuring two streamlined Zoom Air pods in the forefoot to deliver extra energy return, the design also adds more ZoomX foam than the Vaporfly NEXT%, which increases the level of impact protection and responsive cushioning.

Pairs of the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% ‘Rawdacious’ are expected to release very soon via Nike and selected Swoosh stockists.
