At the beginning of 2021 we heard the epic news that the Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’ was returning – albeit in patent leather form. It wasn’t the OG that we were all hoping for, but it still excited many sneakerheads. After a slew of leaks, on-foot shots, and official pics, an October release was locked in. However, word is now spreading that the ‘Bred Patent’ is delayed!

The Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’ is one of the most iconic sneakers of all-time and, since its legendary 1985 debut, has hit shelves only a few times in limited quantities. What’s exciting about this patent leather iteration is the fact that this will be the closest we’ve gotten to the OG colour-blocking since the 2016 retro.

Just like its predecessor, it comes dressed in a black base, white midsole, and stand-out ‘Varsity Red’ overlays and toe box. The upper will be constructed entirely of shiny patent leather instead of the usual soft tumbled leather.

Are you hoping to scoop the Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred Patent’ in 2021? According to industry insider zsneakerheadz it’s now set for a December 30 drop. Nothing official has been said about this new date, so we’ll keep you updated as more news surfaces.
