are hellbent on revolutionising the – that is where they got their start, after all! Their recent innovations have been second to none, coming through boasting novel tech packaged in futuristic builds. Their and have been the hallmark silhouettes, providing wearers with the gear to push boundaries and go further. Next up, Team Swoosh have just debuted the Vaporfly 3 – an all-rounder that can cover any distance.
Elliott Heath, Nike’s running senior footwear product manager, has said in a press release, ‘The Prototype colorway of the Vaporfly 3 is again a nod to our development process, where athlete and everyday-runner feedback critically informs and guides our innovation journey from start to finish.’
The design team has built on the Vaporfly 2, and for their latest, they’ve made the upper even more lightweight while increasing stability, and improving transitions and energy returns. Pairing a full-length carbon fibre Flyplate and ZoomX midsole allows runners to be propelled, and a convex shape cradling the foot allows for a buttery smooth ride.
The first colourway to release will be dubbed ‘Prototype’. That iteration features graphic text reading ’57’, which signifies the number of Vaporfly 3 uppers tested during creation. It will also read ’20126-23’ – the wear tester’s dedicated ID number.
You can cop the Vaporfly 3 ‘Prototype’ from Nike’s webstore and select running retailers on March 6.
